Dr. Boucher and Dr. Farmer had the usual reservations about making changes in the practice and bringing in new technology. Previous experiences with technology companies proved to be long ordeals with a lot of back and forth. These concerns were well justified since a veterinary clinic is already a hectic environment and technology built for this space is usually sub-par.


Dr. Farmer decided to make the switch in April of 2014 – knowing that having the system during the busy summer months would lighten the load on the staff and generate more revenue. In this case the setup process took a total of 4 phone calls. The initial 10 minute call to integrate with their server, a 40 minute call to understand how the practice operates, a 50 minute training call with the staff, and a 20 minute support call right after launch. Within the first week, the staff were comfortable with the system, clients didn’t notice a switch, and by the end of the first year more than 20% of them had converted to using the app. This led to 400+ more appointments a month.
