WhiskerCloud CEO Adam Greenbaum chats with Dr. Cherese Sullivan and Dr. Christina V. Tran from the Multicultural Veterinary Medical Association (MCVMA) about the need for diversity and inclusion in veterinary medicine.
What is the MCVMA?
Veterinary medicine is one of the least culturally, racially, and ethnically diverse professions in America. As a result, the voices of those on the fringes are often unheard. It can be an isolating experience.
The Multicultural Veterinary Medical Association is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization formed in 2014 to address this need. They seek to foster a community of veterinary professionals from diverse backgrounds and cultures to create a mutual support network for their members. Furthermore, their goal is to harness the collective knowledge of their members to address their own needs and the needs of a modern, multicultural society.
