We receive plenty of requests from our customers for help with promotional marketing messages.

We’ve compiled a few messages for you to use as a guide to promote your veterinary clinic. We highly recommend using these as templates to help you get some inspiration for your marketing message. These messages are meant as templates to help inspire your messaging, but there is a lot more to learn about mass-messaging your clients.

Promotional Messages

Spay and Neuter Awareness

Subject: Help the community by spaying or neutering your pet for free!

Body:

The number of homeless pets is on the rise! By spaying or neutering your pet, you’ll be able to prevent unintentional litters which contribute to our homeless pet population.

This month we are offering FREE spaying or neutering services with a wellness checkup.

One of the benefits of this promotion is that it’s straight and to the point. No one wants to read a novel when they’re checking their email. This is why a short and concise promotion is the best practice!

Cat/Dog Health Month

Subject: Keep your loved ones healthy all year round!

Body:

This month is National Cat/Dog Month! Did you know that visiting a vet at least once a year can help increase your pet’s life expectancy?

Most pet parents only bring their pets in when they’re sick or injured. Instead, be more proactive and schedule your annual appointment.

While this specific message doesn’t have any monetary incentives to come in and visit the clinic, there is an emotional appeal to the reader. Pet parents want their pets to live long and happy lives, the emotional appeal becomes the convincing argument to listen to the message.

Dental Health Awareness Month

Subject: Keep your pet’s teeth sparkling with $25 off dental services!

Body:

Your pets can’t keep their teeth clean like we do, which is why we want to help you out! Take $25 off all dental services during the month of February.

This email makes a big impact because of the specific monetary value that’s showcased. Individuals will know exactly how much they are saving, which gives them more of an incentive to make the purchase within the designated time period, instead of waiting until their annual exam.

New Clinic Offerings

New Services

Subject: Introducing: Boarding Services!

Body:

We’re excited to announce that we are now offering boarding services for both cats and dogs! If you’re looking to take an extended vacation, we will take great care of your pets while you’re on vacation.

This is a quick and easy way to announce new offerings to your clients. When it comes to special offerings with limited space, such as boarding, it’s important to highlight the exclusivity to ensure that people will act quickly.

New locations, or remodels, are an important thing to share with your clients. This gives them a potential opportunity to have a more convenient location and refer your business to a friend near that area. Sharing this on other channels such as social media could also be a great way to ensure that others know about your new location as well.

Clinic Notifications

Holiday Hours

Subject: Winter Hours Now in Effect -Schedule Appointments ASAP!

Body:

Due to the winter weather, our clinic hours will now be as follows:

  • Tuesday – Friday: 9:00 am – 3:30 pm
  • Saturday: 9:00 am- 12:00 pm
  • Sunday – Monday: CLOSED

Book an appointment through the PetDesk app or by calling our office today!

If your hours are changing for whatever reason, it’s always good to alert your current client database. While most of this information is accessible through the internet, it does take some time for all of that information to update. Contacting them directly is the best course of action when alerting of important changes, such as a change in phone numbers or hours.

Unexpected Circumstances

Subject: PHONE LINES DOWN – Pet Hospital Name

Body:

Due to technical difficulties, the clinic phone line will be down until Wednesday evening.

To contact our front desk staff, feel free to book an appointment through the PetDesk app. If this is an emergency, feel free to email or message us at [email here].

We apologize for any inconvenience this might have caused!

We know unexpected circumstances happen and sometimes, it may mean at the expense of one of your main communication channels. Alerting the customer of your current technical difficulties is helpful to them because it lets you know that you’re currently working on resolving the issue and frustrations, instead of ignoring the problem.

This template can be used for a variety of things, such as construction in a plaza, traffic blocks, or other similar issues. Reaching out and alerting your clients before they come is best practice so that if there are delays, they know why and they can be prepared for them and be a little more sympathetic to the matter before they enter the clinic.
