At PetDesk, our mission is to improve pet health by helping pet parents stay current and pet care providers stay connected. To accomplish our mission, we stay very active in the veterinary community and are often releasing new products to support pet care providers. Check out below what we have been up to lately.
“PetDesk is proud to announce we’ve hit a major milestone – ONE MILLION APP USERS! Only 1% of apps ever reach one million app downloads, let alone users, so we are delighted to share this news. We are also incredibly thankful for all who made it possible: our PetDesk customers and app users.”
“PetDesk, a San Diego-based pet care communication company, announced they have raised $12 million from Silicon Valley-based firm PeakSpan Capital. PetDesk plans to use this Series B funding to expand from the veterinary industry into the pet grooming industry to drive better health outcomes for companion animals in North America.”
“Using PetDesk, you can request an appointment with a vet with ease, as this app represents a network of vets, groomers, and boarders, and lets you communicate with them. The app’s design is also really well done, so navigating it should not be an issue for anyone. PetDesk can be a truly useful app, and it is highly rated by users, so it’s worth trying out if you need something of the sort.”
PetDesk has offered a loyalty program to customers for about one year. Today, we are announcing a new functionality to our loyalty program that will make it easier for veterinary clinics to provide their clients with the ability to provide clients with scheduled specials and promotions within their loyalty programs.
“Today’s tech industry venerates startups that tally big venture capital rounds and grow aggressively, but Cavanah said PetDesk is determined to expand at a more measured pace. In an interview with Xconomy, he shares why he nearly gave up on finding more outside funding.”
“Typically, lab results are verbally communicated to the pet parent via a phone call and only shared with the client upon request. But now, veterinarians will be able to be more transparent with their clients and showcase the pet’s lab test results through the PetDesk mobile app.”
“In addition to checking their PetDesk dashboard, our customers had to check their practice management software to see which appointments had been confirmed for that day. That was before: with the new Direct Confirmations feature, this will no longer be necessary.”
“We’re deeply honored to have made it past the millions of mobile applications that pass through the Apple editorial staff and make the ranks as best of the best. Our engineering team deserves all the props for creating a clean and easy-to-use application that helps pet parents manage their pets’ health.”
“Fetch Kansas City is one of our favorite events to attend! Not only do we get to spend a few days learning from industry professionals, but we get to experience the sights, the sounds, and the delicious food (especially the BBQ!).”
“It’s our ultimate goal to extend the lives of all the pets out there by making sure they get the preventative care they need. We’re now working to expand outside of veterinary into grooming, boarding, and other product lines with the ultimate goal of generating 10 million additional years of pet life with the data to prove it.”
“We’ve been saying it for years—the veterinary community is great. Veterinarians, practice managers, and vet techs? They are the most caring and passionate people, really. And lucky for us, we got to spend some time with them at the Western Veterinary Conference in Las Vegas!”
“Formerly known as the NAVC Conference, the Veterinary Meeting & Expo offered an opportunity to visit sunny Orlando and learn from 17,383 people in the pet industry. Attendees started trickling into the Orange County Convention Center on Friday, February 2, with a lot of energy and excitement that carried them through until the last day of the conference.”
